Why does my refrigerator work less well in warm weather?

During hot summer days, your refrigerator has to work extra hard to keep everything cool. Due to the high ambient temperature, your refrigerator may not cool properly, may ice up more quickly, or may develop unpleasant odors. This applies to all brands, such as Bosch and Siemens.

Common refrigerator problems in summer

Refrigerator not cooling properly: Due to heat and poor ventilation.

Ice buildup: Due to frequent opening or poorly closing doors.

Odors in the refrigerator: Due to heat and moisture.

Higher energy consumption: The motor runs more often and for longer periods.

How do you keep your refrigerator cool in summer?

Follow these tips for optimal refrigerator maintenance:

Ensure good ventilation: Don't place the refrigerator too close to the wall. Regularly dust the ventilation grilles at the back and bottom.

Check the door seals: If the seals don't close properly, replace them immediately. Poor seals cause cold air loss.

Set the correct temperature: Set the refrigerator to 4°C and the freezer to -18°C. In extreme heat, you can temporarily lower the temperature.

Don't overload the refrigerator: Air must be able to circulate for even cooling. Don't place products against the back wall.

Clean the refrigerator regularly: Use a solution of water and vinegar. This prevents mold and odors.

Use an odor neutralizer for your refrigerator: An odor neutralizer prevents unpleasant odors, especially in warm weather or if you store a lot of fresh produce.

The usefulness of a Filter Stopcock?

https://www.vervangingsmarkt.com/filter-stop-valve

If you want to extend the life of your faucet, then a filter stop valve is a must. At first glance it may seem like a small part, but it is an essential component for the life of your faucet. Of course, as specialists in kitchen and plumbing parts, we also sell filter stop faucets. In this blog, we will elaborate on why a filter faucet is a must. Ideal for anyone looking to extend the life of their faucet.

For starters, it is important to know that two filter stop faucets are needed per faucet: one filter stop for the hot line and one filter stop for the cold line.

The main reason for a filter stop valve is that the filter stops contaminants and prevents complaints. Over time, particles such as lime, rust, sand or other sediments can accumulate in your indoor plumbing. These accumulations can lead to clogging or wear and tear, which can cause damage to your faucet. In addition, it causes reduced water quality.

A filter stop faucet is also very useful if you want to replace your faucet at a later date. This is because a filter stop faucet has the convenient feature that allows you to quickly shut off the water. This allows you to easily disassemble and reassemble the faucet without shutting off the main valve.

Note! To ensure that the filter stopcock performs optimally, it is important to regularly clean the filter stopcock. This is because contaminants can also build up inside the filter stopcock, which can make the filter less effective.

To clean your filter stopper, follow a few steps:

Turn off the water supply

Open the filter stopcock

Carefully remove the housing of the filter stopcock, you can usually do this by unscrewing the filter stopcock by hand or with matching pliers.

Remove the filter element

Remove the filter element from the faucet. This is the part that collects the dirt particles and can vary in shape depending on the type of filter stopcock.

Clean the filter element.

If necessary, you can briefly soak the filter element in a mixture of water and vinegar to remove scale.

Replace the filter and housing

Hopefully this blog has helped you better understand the benefits and maintenance of a filter stop faucet. If you still have questions or would like additional advice, feel free to contact us - we'd be happy to help!

How to replace a faucet interior

https://www.vervangingsmarkt.com/blog/how-to-replace-a-faucet-inside/

Faucet tips How to replace a faucet internals
Replacing a faucet interior (cartridge) is a relatively simple job that you can do yourself. However, it is important to follow the right steps to avoid damaging the faucet.
What you need.

A new faucet interior
Water pump pliers/baco
Screwdriver
Towel
hammer
Rubber household gloves (for grip)

Roadmap

Close the main valve

The first step is to close the main valve. You do this to prevent water from flowing out of the pipes while you are working on the faucet.

Drain the pipes

Before you start dismantling the faucet, drain the pipes thoroughly. You do this by opening the faucets. If you are working on the downstairs, it is helpful to also turn on the faucets upstairs for a while to drain the entire piping system.

Disassemble the handle

The way to disassemble the faucet depends on the type of faucet. For a one lever faucet, you first remove the knob(s) from the faucet. You do this by usually prying off the cap on the back of the knob with a knife and then using an Allen (usually size 2.5 to loosen the Allen. Then pull the lever with a wiggling motion and the lever will come loose. Under the lever is often a convex ring, you can often loosen it by using a rubber glove to bake the ring (for grip) and then turn it.
If it is very tight, give a few taps on the ring so that it jerks and then turn the ring.

If you have a two-handle faucet, it may be that the levers/knobs are latched. You should then pull the knob with a bit of a wiggling motion and the knob will come off.

Remove the old interior

Once the faucet is disassembled, you can remove the old interior. You can do this by unscrewing the screws/nut or bolts that hold the interior. Or by unscrewing the interior with usually plug/ring wrench 17.

Install the new insert

Make sure that the washers from the old interior are not left in the faucet. Also check that the hole where the inner work sits is completely empty and clean. Insert the new inner work and make sure it is firmly in place. Make sure the rubbers on the inside are greased with faucet grease.

Assembling the faucet

Assemble the faucet parts in the reverse order of disassembly.

Open the main tap

Open the main valve and check that the faucet is working properly.
DIY tips

Make sure you buy the right inner workings. The insert should match the type of faucet .
Make sure the screws or bolts are tight, but not too tight (hand-tight).
Check that the washers from the old interior are not left in the faucet.
Run the faucet for a while to check for leaks.

Safety tips

Always wear gloves when working on pipes containing water.
Make sure the area is well lit.
Be careful when handling sharp objects.

Possible problems

If the faucet does not work properly, it may be that the interior is not installed properly. If so, check the installation again.
If the faucet handle turns the wrong way, you have ordered the wrong interior.
For faucets with levers, there is a Left and Right closing insert (see information).

Slide the jacket with the logo upright back around the faucet body. Note! There is a recess in the mantle. This falls over the cam in the valve body. Press the sleeve firmly until it clicks into place. Slide the black centering ring over the boiling water hose. Tighten the round nut with the pipe wrench provided.

Step 15
Put two drops of glue on the screw and tighten it in the lever connector with the supplied Allen wrench. Put a drop of glue on the smooth part of screw and slide the new lever over it (there are also threaded-only versions).

Step 17
Push the faucet through the hole in the countertop, using the plastic triangle if the countertop is thin. Be careful not to pinch the LED cord. Place the horseshoe-shaped clamp part around the hoses. Tighten the tightening nut on the threaded end; but not quite yet.

Step 18
Turn the faucet with the Quooker logo straight towards the user, the operating lever is in cold position parallel to the edge of the countertop.

Step 20
Connect the hot and cold water hose with the supplied hose strainers (these serve directly as a seal).

Step 21
When connecting the boiling water hose, use the red fiber ring. Insert the plug of the LED cord back into the hood.
- Re-open the main or stop valves and check for leaks in the cabinet. In doing so, also open the mixing valve to test it.

Step 22
Turn on the Quooker by pressing the “Q” button on top of the reservoir.
You no longer have to wait for the water to boil, but can immediately fill a pan with boiling water, or make a bowl of tea. A perfect solution for our busy lives and it is also a sustainable solution. You can immediately tap the right amount of water, saving water and energy. But how does a Quooker boiling water faucet work? The beautiful models of Quooker faucets look like an ordinary faucet, but there is a clever piece of technology incorporated into the faucet and under the countertop.

How does a Quooker faucet work in technology?

How does a Quooker faucet work so that you always get boiling water straight from the faucet? This is actually a very simple technique. Under the countertop, in one of the kitchen cabinets, is the reservoir of the Quooker. This reservoir is vacuum insulated and contains 3 or 7 liters of water with a temperature of 110 degrees. By operating the Quooker faucet, you have this boiling water right at your fingertips.

Hot water from the Quooker: how does it work?

Meanwhile, there are several models available. How do the Quooker faucet models work and what is the difference? With a Quooker combi or combi+ you can use the Quooker not only for boiling water, but also for hot water. This saves a lot of water. The cold water from the pipes does not have to be rinsed away first before the boiler delivers hot water. With the Quooker combi, the cold water from the pipe is mixed with the boiling water from the reservoir and you have hot water on hand immediately. So, especially if your central heating boiler is located a bit further away from the kitchen faucet, a Quooker faucet works very much to save water and energy. Besides the option for cold, hot and boiled water, there is also an extension for sparkling water from the tap: the Quooker Cube system.

How does a Quooker work in your kitchen?

You can choose from different models of all-in-one faucets with the Quooker, or a separate boiling water faucet. Operation is simple and safe. The Quooker faucet works with a double push and turn button. You press the tap twice and turn the knob. Then the boiling water flows out of the faucet. As soon as the Quooker delivers boiling water, the LED ring on the faucet turns red. So you can fill a pan of boiling water very easily and quickly and never have to wait again for the water to boil and add the spaghetti. To the question: how does a Quooker faucet work to make life easier, many owners will answer: it saves a lot of time!

Quooker faucet: how does it install?

How does a Quooker faucet installation work? To install a Quooker faucet, you need a kitchen cabinet where there is water and power supply. The reservoir is placed in the cabinet and the Quooker faucet on the countertop. In an existing kitchen, you can usually use the tap hole from the old faucet to install your Quooker faucet. Just make sure the Quooker faucet is properly connected.

How does a Quooker work on safety?

Especially in families with small children, safety in the kitchen is very important. Accidents with a kettle, or a whistling kettle with boiling water, happen in an instant and can have major consequences. With a Quooker, the chance of this happening is much smaller. The special control knob with two presses and then turns is difficult for small children to activate. Of course, it is always important to keep an eye on small children and also answer the curious questions about how does the cooker work honestly and say that should only be used together with an adult. But Quooker has incorporated another important safety aspect into the faucet. When pouring from a kettle or a whistling kettle, a large jet of boiling water immediately comes out of the spout. So how does a Quooker work? The Quooker does not produce a full jet of boiling water, but lets it come out of the faucet in droplet form. Even if you accidentally get your hand under there, you can immediately withdraw your hand before a full jet of boiling water comes over you. This is an important additional safety feature of this boiling water faucet.
Instructions

Pairing Emotion control remote control.

If you buy a new remote control or changed the battery of your current remote control, you need to pair the remote control with your receiver again.Follow these steps to pair the Remote Control Emotion Control AFB2.

Step 1.

For a new remote, remove the foil near the battery.

Step 2.

Unplug the receiver and plug it back in. Two things can now happen on the receiver. Either the blue control light is on constantly, or it flashes very quickly.

Step 3.

Whether the light blinks quickly or is already on constantly, the next action is the same. You now press the blue check light with a pen or paper clip. The light will now be constantly blue.

Step 4.

Now hold the remote close to the receiver and press the power button on the remote for 5 seconds. If the new remote control is connected you will see the blue control light blink once quickly. After this, the blue light goes out.
The remote control is now set and you can use it. Unfortunately we sometimes find that the first time it does not quite succeed with the pairing. You should then go through the steps again.
If it still does not work after several times? Then the receiver may be defective. You can no longer pair the remote control and will need a new receiver .

4. Remove the inner work from the faucet, check carefully that there is no rubber left in the faucet and that there is no limescale.
Then mount the inner work and lubricate the rubber with the tap grease provided. On the right cold side there are grooves in the interior where the key is put on. 1329700
