This genuine Lira Italy 008445 Franke basket plug fits various Franke sinks. The Franke Lira basket plug is also known as a stopper or strainer: as a strainer it stops food scraps from ending up in the sink, and as a stopper you push the plug down to fully seal the drain of your Franke sink. This makes it easy to use your sink for handwashing dishes.

The Franke Lira 008445 basket plug is made of chrome-plated brass, so it won't rust. The basket is round and chrome-coloured. You'll receive the basket plug complete with steel pin, sealing rubber and plastic ring. This basket plug comes with a black rubber ring around a steel ring. If the basket screw sinks down during installation, you'll need a new basket screw. In that case, the old screw is worn out too much, so the ball no longer provides any resistance.

By pressing the plug down, you fully seal the drain of the Franke sink, so it also works as a stopper. That way you can use the sink for washing dishes by hand. The Franke Turbo 133.0175.965 basket strainer is made of brushed stainless steel, so it won't rust. The basket is round and has a matte stainless steel finish. This Franke Turbo basket strainer comes complete with a steel pin, sealing rubber and plastic ring. This basket strainer has a black rubber ring around a plastic ring. The knob of the basket strainer should say FRANKE, and the underside should have a black plastic ring surrounded by a rubber ring.

If the basket strainer sinks into the sink and no longer stays upright, you need a new basket strainer. The ball has likely fallen out of the pin.

If you have a Belgian sink, chances are you have this plug: FRANKE 133.0008.411. This plug has a taller underside with a white or transparent plastic ring.

Is only the rubber of the basket strainer damaged while the rest is still in good condition? Then you don't necessarily need a whole new basket strainer — the Franke Basket Strainer Rubber Turbo 47mm is often enough as a replacement.

This basket plug used to have straight slots, but nowadays it comes with wavy slots. You'll therefore always receive the most recent version with wavy slots; the version with the sleek, straight slots is no longer available.

This mechanism has a different shape compared to older versions, but it fits perfectly into the cistern types mentioned above. The new mechanism is marked with code 831.078.00.0 - 831.198.00.0 - 813.154.00.0 63 - 883.911.00.0 - Type 212. The older model may be marked with code 881.122.00.0.

Please note: this is a new model flush valve. When installing this flush valve, you'll need to remove both the old flush valve and the flush valve holder. The new flush valve comes with the holder already pre-assembled and included. So you simply take out the old valve together with its holder and install the new one in its place. To replace this cartridge, first loosen the hex screw on the underside of the knob, then disassemble the tap further. The cartridge itself can be unscrewed from the tap using an adjustable wrench or open-end spanner.

• The bottom of the cartridge is flat and has 2 small white pins.
• Make sure these pins line up exactly with the recesses in the tap during installation.
• The grey ring lets you set the maximum water temperature when operating the handle.

A common issue with the Quooker Flex is leakage from the underside of the tap, causing water to drip into the cabinet below. This cartridge fixes that problem.

Maintaining Lorreine LP342 basket plug

The Lorreine LP342 sink plug can be cleaned by putting it in the dishwasher to get all the debris off the basket strainer. For stubborn tea stains, you can use a special stainless steel cleaner or non-aggressive cleaners, dish soap and all-purpose cleaner are a great alternative. Use an abrasive sponge (not a pan sponge!) for this purpose. With this you can clean the plug well and get rid of grease and caked-on residue. After this, use a microfiber cloth to polish the basket nicely. If the basket plug rubber of the Lorreine LP342 sink plug is broken, you will unfortunately have to purchase a new plug.

Maintaining Blanco Basket Plug

The Blanco 125654 sink plug can be cleaned by putting it in the dishwasher to remove all debris from the basket strainer. For stubborn tea stains, you can use a special stainless steel cleaner or non-aggressive cleaners, dish soap and all-purpose cleaner are a great alternative. Use an abrasive sponge (not a pan sponge!) for this purpose. With this you can clean the plug well and get rid of grease and caked-on residue. After this, use a microfiber cloth to polish the basket nicely. If the basket plug rubber of the Blanco 125654 sink plug is broken, you should order a separate rubber which can be found below.

Always install filter stop valves between water supply and faucet. The filter stops contaminants and prevents complaints. It is important to clean the filter regularly for proper operation. Caution! Per tap 2 filter stop valves required.

This filter stopcock is suitable for 12mm and 15mm pipes (a 12 and 15mm gland is included).
The connection from the flexible hose to the tap is 3/8''.

The filter stopcock can also be placed in a wall plate 1/2''.

Furthermore, these filter stop taps are very useful if you want to replace the tap at a later stage. You can close the filter stop taps so that you can easily disassemble and reassemble the tap afterwards. You then do not need to close the main tap.

This is an original internal part for a Quooker reservoir with a capacity of 1600 Watt.
