Installing and replacing Franke filters

Filter Installation

The Franke filter can be mounted in different ways:

• Standalone on a flat surface
• Vertically on the wall
• Horizontally on the wall

Installation Steps

1. Place the filter cartridge in the filter head and turn it counterclockwise to secure it.
2. Flush the system: during the first installation, the system must flush a minimum of 2 liters of water.
   ⚠️ Note: the flushing water may initially appear milky or cloudy due to air in the water. This will disappear quickly.
   

   Replace Filter

3. Turn the filter clockwise to remove it from the filter head.
   ⚠️ Note: during this process, the tap water supply and the valves for the outgoing filtered water in the filter head are automatically shut off.
4. Watch for pressure spikes:
   The system will expand and a small amount of water may flow from the flushing hose. Therefore, place a collection container under the flushing hose.
5. Install the new filter:
   To do this, repeat the steps from the "Installing the filter" chapter.
