How to find the model and type number
Finding the correct faucet model and type number is crucial to order a suitable replacement part or a completely new faucet.
Why is the model and type number important?
Every faucet has its own unique characteristics. If you order the wrong part, you risk it not fitting – and that costs time and money. By finding the correct model and type number, you can be sure you choose a suitable replacement.
Check the brand of the faucet
Often the brand is printed or engraved on top or on the front of the faucet. Well-known brands include Grohe, Hansgrohe, Damixa, Blanco, Ideal Standard, Franke and more. The brand is already an important first step towards finding the right type.
Look up the serial number
The serial number of a faucet can usually be found:
- On a sticker under the faucet or on the wall plate (especially for built-in faucets)
- Sometimes engraved on the bottom or back of the spout or handle
