We need the following parts: a new aerator. Let's get started quickly
- If the aerator needs to be removed from the spout, it's wise to give a few taps against the bottom of the aerator first. This startles the aerator and makes it easier to disassemble later.

- Then you unscrew the aerator with the aerator wrench
- Now you can replace the aerator incl. sleeve or just the loose strainer.
- It sometimes happens that the grey plastic part, which should remain in the spout, comes out when unscrewing it.
See here the instructions on how to remove this - This can usually be removed by holding the grey plastic in your hand, then tapping the top (visible part) of the aerator with a hammer.
- You can also soak it in cleaning vinegar and then rinse it off, or soak it in boiling water so it gets a temperature shock.
- After that, hold the plastic firmly by hand or carefully with a water pump pliers and then use the wrench to unscrew the top.
