1 Drill out the 2 pop rivets from the lid with a 3.2 millimeter drill bit. The flap can now be removed. (see image 1).

2) Place the flap with the text facing down in front of you. You are now looking at the inside of the lid. The hinge is now at the top.

3) Remove the starlock from the pin that runs through the spring, so that this pin can be removed. (see fig. 7).

4) Pull the pin out halfway. This means that the pin only goes through the hinge on the left side.

5) Remove the old spring.

6) Slide the supplied bushing (part M1751010-1, see photo) over the pin.

7) Now slide the spring over the pin. The spring has a long and a short end. The long end must be slid over the pin first, against the bushing. 8) Now rotate the short end away from you upwards, until the short end rests on the lid.

9) Now push the spring down, so that the pin can be slid through the right side of the hinge.

10) Place the supplied starlock on the pin on the right side, so that the pin can no longer slide out.

11) Flip the lid over. The convex side is now on top.

12) Use a screwdriver to lift the hinge up. (see fig. 8). Position the screwdriver so that the hinge stays up.

13) Now place the complete lid back in the trash can and install the 2 new pop rivets. (see fig. 9 and 10). Now remove the screwdriver.

14) Your Wesco Pushboy is now ready for use again.
